Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has been killed by Iranian backed Houthi rebels. Saleh who had previously survived assassination attempts in 2011 was forced to leave power a year later. Saleh death follows his renouncement his allegiance with Houthi rebels who accused the former as a traitor who joined the Saudi-led anti-Houthi campaigns.
