The Walia's who cancelled a friendly matches with Uganda has arrived in Ghana for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Ghana's Black Stars. The game is scheduled for Sunday 11 June 2017, and it will take place at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana. The Walias will be headed by a newly appointed coach Ashenafi Bekele. The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Cameroon from 12 January 2019 to 3 February 2019. Ethiopia will face Group F contestants Sierra Leone, Ghana and Kenya. The 12 group winners and three best runners-up qualify for the final tournament.
